Uladzislau Khandohi, born on October 7, 2001, in Minsk, Belarus, into a family of musicians renowned for their dulcimer mastery, displayed prodigious piano talent from an early age. He began lessons at seven, won his first Grand Prix at the Mendzelevskaya Open City Competition in Mogilev at age ten, and the following year triumphed at the Sviridov Competition for Young Performers in St. Petersburg.
In 2013, he entered the Republican Music College of the Belarusian State Music Academy under Irina Semenyako. Uladzislau continued to gain recognition, winning the Astana Piano Passion International Festival and the International Competition "Nutcracker" in 2014. His international profile grew in 2016 as a finalist at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition and with the release of his debut solo album by Melodiya.
He earned laurels at the II International Grand Piano Competition in Moscow in 2018 and, supported by a scholarship from the International Charity Fund of Yuri Rosum, performed across Belarus, Russia, Spain, Italy, France, and Switzerland. In 2020, he enrolled at the Moscow State Conservatory under Professor Natalia Trull, continuing his ascent with first prizes in Ferrol and Sanremo, Italy, and the "La Palma d’Oro" International Piano Competition in 2021.
Uladzislau was a finalist at the 2022 Cliburn Piano Competition, then secured third prize at the Ljubljana International Piano Competition and second prize at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2023. Since 2023, he has studied at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid under Professor Stanislav Ioudenitch. In 2024, he won second prize at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition, first prize at the Mimas Piano Competition, second prize at the Vigo Piano Competition, first prize at the Dinu Lipatti Piano Competition, and first prize at the CIPCE International Piano Competition. That year, Decca Australia released a CD of his Sydney Piano Competition recordings.
In 2025, Uladzislau won second prize at the Iturbi International Piano Competition in Valencia, along with the Audience Prize and a special prize for the best performance of a Beethoven piano concerto.
